Are you going on your first holiday in a camper? Or maybe you have already spent your holiday this way, but you missed many things and this time you want to prepare better? Check out our list of things that cannot be missing in your suitcases. Only well-packed luggage will ensure you a high-quality rest without unnecessary stress and the need to spend additional money on supplementing your equipment at the place of your stay.

Camping trip: what should you remember?

Going on holiday in a camper is a solution that has gained many supporters in recent years. This form of spending holidays gives greater independence and convenience than the traditional way of traveling: instead of looking for hotels or guesthouses available on the route and paying the owners for the opportunity to spend the night at their facility, tourists can stop along the route and rest comfortably before continuing their journey, and on site stay at a campsite instead of in a hotel. However, you must, of course, be aware that camping is not allowed everywhere. In many countries around the world, sleeping rough can result in a significant financial penalty.

To go on holiday in a camper, you do not have to buy your own car. You can also rent it. It is also possible to buy a few gadgets that will allow you to turn an ordinary passenger car into a camper. What do you need to take to make your campervan holiday successful?

Bed sheets and towels

It may seem obvious, but people who are used to all-inclusive trips in which they receive full hotel equipment may forget to take such basic elements of camping equipment as their own towel and bedding. However, you will not get these things in the parking lot or campsite, and for obvious reasons they are necessary for a comfortable rest.

Don't have room for a full set of bedding? Instead of a large duvet and several pillows, you can opt for a compact sleeping bag. In a minimalist version, you can replace a large, down towel with a quick-drying, thin towel wrapped in a thin roll (you can get this type of towels, among others, in sports stores).

Comfortable flip-flops

When staying in hotels, you are usually provided with disposable slippers and sometimes a bathrobe. However, if you decide to go on holiday in a camper, you must provide yourself with footwear that you can use in the evenings and mornings. And this is regardless of the purpose of the trip. A trip to the camping toilet or shower in sandals, sneakers or sneakers is of course possible, but very uncomfortable. Also remember that if you live at a campsite or spend the night at a gas station or parking lot, you will not have a private bathroom at your disposal. When taking a shower in a publicly accessible place, it is better to wear flip-flops to protect yourself, for example, against athlete's foot infection.

Camp stove and refrigerator

An element that is not necessary, but definitely makes life easier during a camper holiday, is your own kitchen equipment. Some campsites in Poland and abroad provide tourists with a kitchen where they can cook a meal, boil water for coffee or tea or wash dishes. However, this is not the rule. And even if such a utility room is available, having your own kitchen equipment significantly increases the comfort of your stay: you do not have to, for example, wait until one of the two stoves available at the campsite becomes available or sign up for all the things you put in the fridge.

The ability to cool drinks and food will be especially appreciated by people traveling to exotic countries in the summer.

Powerbank and flashlight

If the power goes out or you don't have enough electrical outlets to meet your needs, these pieces of travel equipment will be there for you. As you know, nowadays a charged smartphone is essential: this equipment is not only a tool for contact with the world, but also a device for playing music, a portable map, reliable navigation - it also serves many other functions. Of course, a flashlight will also be useful outside the camper: a night trip to the camping toilet or bustling around the campsite after dusk will be much easier and more friendly when you have your own portable light source.

Before leaving, it is of course also worth ensuring access to mobile Internet available in the area with good coverage: make sure that your data package is wide enough to be sufficient for intensive use during the trip. When going abroad with a camper, first check whether you have roaming turned on. Launching it outside Poland may be much more difficult than dealing with this issue at home.

Now you know what things you need to take with you on a campervan trip, all you have to do is pull out your suitcase and start your next adventure!
