How do you view the almost 9-meter motorhome? Hymer decided not to stop at the Master Line models in the 780 and 790 systems and added a new proposal to them: Hymer B Master Line 880.

The impressive length of 8.89 meters and a width of 2.35 meters rests on a tandem axle for the first time, using the SLC chassis developed by Hymer. This, in turn, results in excellent driving characteristics.

Comfort on the highway

Such a long motorhome might seem difficult to drive. The producer argues, however, that nothing could be more wrong. The tandem axle is connected to a 177 hp Mercedes engine. The complete set was equipped with a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic gearbox, which ensures perfect adaptation of the driving speed to the prevailing conditions, as well as optimized fuel consumption.

Assistance systems such as Brake Assist and Distronic Distance Assist ensure a high level of safety. Let us add that to drive such a vehicle it is not enough to use an ordinary category B driving license , because the permissible total weight is 5.5 tons.

In appearance, attention is drawn to the large panoramic windshield and the edges emphasizing the lines of the headlamps. The front looks a bit like an arrow. The black grill, glossy radiator frame with chrome trim and LED fog lights emphasize the sporty look.

Space and elegance in the interior

For such a long motorhome, the space does not make any electrifying impression. The side bench has been enlarged by 30 centimeters. A round table is a surprising solution. There is an L-shaped couch around him, another on the other side of the car. In turn, a quite large TV slides out from the back of the couch. And you can't see the kitchen anymore;).

This one is on the left side and it's not very big. The manufacturer claims that the tops have been enlarged by 20 cm (compared to the 780 and 790 Masterline). The stove has three burners and one of the stations is an induction hob! In addition, we have a sink, quite spacious drawers and a fridge with a freezer compartment.

Interestingly, something like a hall was created in the car. There is a mirror on the left side of the entrance. On the other hand, there are handles on the upholstered wall and hangers on the doors. There is also a shelf and a lamp. There is also a large, double wardrobe with shelves on one side and a large drawer at the bottom, and with a traditional place for hangers on the other. In addition, there are surprising numerous compartments in the floor , although some of them are service compartments, occupied by devices.

The manufacturer decided to have two single beds that can be joined by unfolding a shorter central part. There is a window above them, so there will be plenty of light. Another skylight is between the wardrobe and the shower cubicle. The bedroom can be separated from the living room by closing the door.

The bathroom is two-sided. To the right we have a toilet with a sink and in front of it there is a shower with a glass door. There is a lot of space in the cabin. There is also a window, so the room can be aired.

The garage is large, with access from both sides, even with small shelves.

The motorhome is modern and well-equipped, so it won't be cheap. Hymer B Master Line 880 is to be available for sale from the beginning of 2020 at a price of approx. 115,990 euro (price in Germany).

If you want to learn more about this and other Hymer models, please visit the Elcamp company from Krakow. There, employees will be happy to tell you about all the details of the vehicles of the German brand.

Sun and rain protection at the campsite
The weather, especially on summer holidays, can be capricious. Although it is impossible to predict it, we can be properly prepared for it. Whether it is sun or rain - it is worth considering the equipment of the motorhome that will allow us to enjoy the holiday regardless of the weather conditions. What accessories are worth investing in? Especially awnings, side walls and roller blinds for motorhomes will protect us from the scorching sun and persistent rainfall. Although awnings are optional accessories for a motorhome, investing in buying them before the summer season can save us a lot of nerves during our dream trip. Each of us has experienced at least once the discomfort associated with the heat pouring down from the sky and the hours of rain, which effectively discourage leaving the motorhome. Fortunately - the solutions available in the stores with camping accessories are a real godsend during bad weather. There are two types of awnings to choose from by the owners of motorhomes - wall and roof awnings, which, as the name suggests, are mounted on the side of the vehicle or on the roof, always in places reinforced at the factory by the vehicle manufacturer. When the weather conditions are unfavorable, a well-taut material is ejected quietly and gently from a special cassette, which is an effective barrier against sun rays or raindrops. In the offer of leading manufacturers such as Dometic, Fiamma or Thule, we can find both manually operated awnings and those equipped with an electric system. When buying, it is worth paying attention to models equipped with a special rain drainage pipe.
