Kitchen specialties

Croatia, despite its small size, boasts a rich cuisine with visible Turkish, Greek and Italian influences. Its diversity is also noticeable in individual regions of the country. We can distinguish Slavonian, Dalmatian and mountain cuisine. It sounds complicated, but the basic principle of eating in Croatia is its simplicity and excellent taste. Due to the access to the sea, fish play a huge role in the kitchen - grilled or stewed with vegetables. They also eat a lot of meat, especially veal, lamb and beef. It is meat that is used to make the famous "Croatian kebab" - cevapcici.

I like closer and longer journeys - with an analog camera and a great appetite, because I always like to get to know the local cuisine during the trip. My favorite region in Europe is the Balkans, especially Montenegro, Albania and Bosnia with Herzegovina, which I have visited several times. I dream of returning to beautiful and unpredictable Iceland. I am currently in Southeast Asia.
