Located in Austria, in the federal state of Salzburg, Lake Zeller See is a popular tourist destination. They are headed by Zell am See, the city that is the seat of the county of the same name. It is the second largest city in the county (after Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer). It can be additionally extended by visiting one of the numerous pubs, taverns and bars and getting to know the dishes of the regional cuisine.

Active recreation at the Zeller See

The Zeller See lake attracts lovers of nature and active holidays. In winter, dog races are held on the frozen lake, and hockey matches are also organized. In summer, vacationers who love swimming, diving, windsurfing and sailing come to the shore. The water is pleasantly warm, and its purity can amaze many people. It is reflected in mountain peaks, including the Schmittenhöhe alpine peak towering over Zell am See . The mountain is beautiful - both seen from the lake shore and from a great height. From its top there is a magnificent, breathtaking panorama of over 30 three-thousand meters high. Mountain hikers will be delighted, as will people who prefer climbing, mountain biking, paragliding or canyoning. It is also worth adding a word about attractions for golfers - the largest golf course in the Austrian Alps with 36 holes awaits them.

Approx. 600 meters from the southern shore of Lake Zeller See, in the Nature Reserve Zell am See-Kaprun, lies the Panorama Camp Zell am See , offering relaxation overlooking the Hohe Tauern massif. From the windows you can see the peaks of the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn. Could there be a brighter start to the day? The camping is a great starting point for nearby attractions. In addition to long relaxing walks, guests can relax while cycling - there are a total of approx. 270 km of routes at their disposal. No one will complain about boredom at the campground either. On its premises there are, among others a mini zoo with ponies, rabbits and many other pets, as well as a playground. A stay at the campsite is an ideal option for people who want to take their pets on vacation. In close proximity to the facility there is a specially designated area where dogs can run freely. It is worth considering coming here.
