We had the opportunity to test the model CFX 40 with temperatures reaching even 45 degrees! Equally good was the emergency stop - if the battery level falls below a certain value, the device powers off. It is a very useful feature if your car does not have an additional parking battery.
We also liked the hybrid fridge CoolFun Hybrid. When connected to a power supply of 230V, it works in a compressor mode, but after switching to 12V (eg. When driving a car), begins to work in thermoelectric mode. As a result the refrigerator can be used in diverse conditions.
Thermoelectric coolers are not as efficient as the compressor ones. The cooling capacity can reach up to 30 degrees below the ambient temperature, but during this heat this difference will be significantly lower. Their advantages include low weight, good portability, resistance to tilts, and - which is not available in other types of refrigerators - the possibility of both cooling and maintaining heat. Their popularity is undoubtedly influenced by the price - much lower than in the case of compressor refrigerators.

Refrigerators without electricity
If we want to become independent of the power supply, we can opt for absorption refrigerator. Such refrigerators can work both under the voltage of 12V/230V but can also be powered by gas. Their advantages also include completely silent operation. Unfortunately, the refrigerator cooling capacity will also be dependent on the ambient temperature.
On the other hand, passive refrigerators don't need power supply at all. These are containers fitted with efficient insulation and cooling inserts or ice cubes - which we have to buy by ourselves. Thus, they can maintain the food fresh for maximum several days. This could be an interesting proposal, eg. for anglers, but also for a weekend camping trip.
Choosing the right model depends primarily on our individual needs, but also on how we travel, how much food we take and for how many people we actually want to store food. Compressor efrigerators will be the most efficient, but also the heaviest and the most expensive. Other types of refrigerators are cheaper, but more sensitive to the ambient temperature.
