Knaus Tabbert - motorhome market leader for the third time
As every year the German caravaning industry association CIVD published its “Caravaning-Profile 2014” statistics report at the beginning of the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. This report documents the current economic situation of the caravaning industry in Germany, Europe, and worldwide, and also provides an overview of the market conditions for motorhomes and caravans. According to these widely recognised CIVD statistics Knaus Tabbert GmbH holds the 1st place in new motorhome registrations in Germany in 2013 – already for the third time in series.
According to this report the number of new motorhome registrations in Germany last year was 24,809, which is an increase of 3.1 percent compared to the previous year. Of these new motorhome registrations 2,406 could be attributed to the Knaus-Tabbert group, which means a growth of 3.5 percent compared to 2012. "We are really proud of this result", says Wolfgang Speck, chairman of the Knaus Tabbert GmbH management, commenting this ranking. "Despite this great confirmation and appreciation of our work we will now not rest on our laurels, but will continue to meticulously and emphatically enhance our products to make them even more attractive and customer-friendly."
Plans for further growth to Euro 300 million
And all signs continue to point to growth. Not only did Knaus Tabbert GmbH conclude this year's Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, the world's most important caravaning trade fair, with the best result since the new start in 2009, the group's sales expectations also indicate an increase of almost 10 percent to Euro 300 million for 2014. For Wolfgang Speck this positive expectation against the market trend above all is based on the development of high-quality, attractively priced products of highly stable value. With innovations such as the "CARAVISIO" caravan of the future (www.caravisio.com) and the "Travelino" light-weight construction study Knaus Tabbert stimulates the future perspective of a whole industry: "With our new developments we again and again manage to set new impulses on the market and define trends in design and technology."
Place 2 in caravans and camper vans in Europe
As an internationally aligned company with an export ratio of almost 40 percent Knaus Tabbert GmbH of course also focuses on other European markets, where the company in the last years also has maintained and in part extended its leading market position. With its core brands KNAUS, TABBERT, WEINSBERG and T@B the group both in caravans and in camper vans currently holds place 2 in Germany and Europe.
