Concorde doesn’t have any huge competition. There’re just few producers in Europe, who would built such luxurious camping vehicles based on trucks, such as Mercedes-Benz Atego.
Concorde Cruiser hits in a certain niche. It’s a motorhome prepared for demanding customers, who are able to spend about 200-300 thousand euro on a holiday vehicle. But having such a great amount of money isn’t enough. You need a driving license category C.
Cruisers are not vans, but genuine trucks. Apart from Mercedes Atego cars, Concorde also bases on models Iveco Daily, Iveco EuroCargo and MAN TGL.
Additionally, Concorde not only updates the fleet of the basic vehicles, but still modernizes the thing, which in this case is the most important – the camping part. The newest car bodywork is about 45 kg lighter than the previous ones. Layered design provides a very good insulation.
The manufacturer points out the advantages of this truck-motorhome. And these include not only a bigger comfort resulting from the space in the residential part. The high driving position equals a better visibility and greater safety of the driver and passenger in the event of a collision. Besides, the vehicle is perfect to travel at any time of the year.
What’s the advantage of a real apartment? Above all, the space - bigger than in a typical flat. If so, then Concorde Cruiser can be considered as an apartment among motorhomes – it’s much more spacious than the majority of camping vehicles. Here you can really talk about the kitchen, living room and bedroom as separate rooms. Moreover, the bedroom can be separated from the living area by sliding doors.
There’re cabinets for clothes, but also many cabinets in the kitchen, including high pantries for food. Depending on the interior layout, the bathroom can be integrated with a large shower or separated from it.
All furniture and appliances are made of high quality materials, what can be seen at first glance. In Cruisers, which were based on MAN and Mercedes, there’re mineral kitchen countertops. The impression of luxury is strengthened by something simple - LED strips mounted along the ceiling give the impression of elegance and create a pleasant atmosphere.
There’s an on-board computer with color display that control all devices, located above the door. The available options include, among others, an underfloor heating and huge water tanks with capacity of 320 liters.
Upper beds, placed in a niche above the driver and passenger seats, were designed especially for children (although they can also freely sleep two adults). Adults can use a very comfortable double bed or two single beds in the rear.
Under the beds you can find a mini-car garage accessible from the outside. In case of the model MAN/Atego 990 G, we can even talk about a real garage, because it can fit in a Smart.
A wide selection
Iveco Daily and Eurocargo have a permissible gross weight of 7.5 tons. In models MAN TGL and Mercedes-Benz Atego it amounts to 12 tons! There’re 7 different interior layouts available, as well as 4 options for beds and two variants of the bathroom.
It’s a lot to choose from. The prices of standard versions range between 150 and 227 thousand euro. But don’t be deceived by it. The manufacturer has also prepared a very extensive list of additional equipment that requires surcharge.
