The Company Eura Mobil has manufactured a partially integrated motorhome Profila RS, which is an extension of the Profila Alcove and Profila T series. What differentiates this model the most is the suspended bed that... isn’t visible!
In the case of a traditional model with an alcove above the driver and passenger seats, there is an additional niche, which to say the least doesn’t add charm to the vehicle as a whole. Profila T on the other hand has a suspended bed, which actually takes up a lot of the space inside. In this field the Profila RS model seems to be revolutionary.
Lightly and cleverly
Instead of an unsightly alcove, we have here a large window, which looks nice from the outside, while letting in a lot of light. The only thing missing is for the window to be openable.
The area sticking out over the standard roof is aesthetically formed and made with a light material FRP (a type of polyester resin). The same material has been used in building of the walls, and inside the floor an additional thin plywood and styrofoam were used.
What is the most important is the appearance of the suspended bad from the inside. Its largest advantage is the fact that you can’t see it. The bed after it is folded makes into an equal surface with the roof line; additionally the light plafond fixed at the bottom enhances the impression that it is just an ordinary ceiling and not the bottom of the bed further.
It’s enough to pull on the handle hidden in the ceiling niche, to completely unfold a rather large bedding, at the size of 1, 93 x 1, 40 metres.
We can also be pleasantly surprised after going up. It must be nice to admire the sky visible through the window, but we aren’t doomed to counting stars, there are elegant reading lamps and open shelves, which will surely fit a small collection of books and magazines.
Listing the advantages of the model Profila RS, it is necessary to mention the double flooring, which hides two large storage spaces. If this wasn’t enough, in the back of the vehicle there is a mini-garage, which can effortlessly fit two bikes.
In two lengths
The Motorhome is available in three versions. Model 660 HB has 6, 99 metres in length, it has a toilet integrated with the shower, a double bed at the back is fixed on the back wall. The kitchen top has a simple layout.
More often recommended would be the 720 QB and 720 EB versions with the length of 7, 4 metres. In these, toilets are separated from showers, and opening the toilet door automatically separates the bedroom-bathroom part from the daily part. The kitchen can be in the shape of letter L, but a spring edition allows for the kitchen in the smooth letter S shape.
The tests of the Profila S model have also shown small defects. For example, the position of the cupboards under the line of the low ceiling causes for the door to open at forehead height for the taller users, which may be very uncomfortable. On the other hand, shorter users may find it difficult to climb the high bed in the back of the motor home. We could also use a better lighting in the shower.
In general though, the vehicle is well lit. A lot of light enters through the windows, additionally the vehicle is equipped with artificial lighting of warm colour.
The users will also surely appreciate 175-litre fridge and a 150-litre reservoir of fresh water. Also, there is a 10-litre boiler. The grey water reservoir can fit 100 litres. In the motor home there is a heated and isolated reservoir of sludge.
In Germany Profila RS costs between 48.380 and 53.880 euros (for the basic versions).
