Motorhome manufacturers compete in disclosing their novelties before the summer holidays. Among the proposals of the German brand Hobby, the most interesting is definitely a small model, Vantana.
Season 2015 may be one of the most important for the caravanning market since many years. The reason is the new generation of Fiat Ducato, which is just entering the market. And as you know, Ducato is the basis for the majority of camping vehicles. Manufacturers of motorhomes will probably want to use the moment, to mount the modernized superstructure on the chassis of the car.
In case of the brand Hobby, new Ducato was used not only for lifting the offer, but also to introduce new models. Among them, for the first time in the company's offer, appeared a campervan, which is placed within the limits provided for typical vans and delivery cars in terms of size. Nonetheless, its equipment puts it in the category of camping vehicles.
Hidden shower cabin
The said model, Vantana, comes in the lengths of 541, 599 and 636 cm. The customers can choose among two color variants of furniture and four exterior colors. The basis paint will be white, but for an additional charge there’ll also be available metallic finishes: silver, champagne and anthracite.
In each camper-van, the strongest emotions are caused by the spaciousness. The manufacturer has a tough task to use every inch of the available space.
In Vantan, a "mobile" shower seems to be the most interesting solution. It’s located in the middle of the vehicle - between the sleeping and living areas. It has a shape resembling a triangle, placed on the ceiling. What looks like an abstract decoration, are rollers from shutter door of the shower.
By sliding out the shower door you can get a surrounding wall, thus increasing the bathroom. It has to be admitted that after unfolding the doors, the cabin takes a lot of space. However, if you don’t use the shower, thin doors can be easily hidden in the sides of the small bathroom.
What distinguishes Vantana, is also the floor made of fiberglass with an insulation XPS. This design effectively protects the motorhome from condensation of water vapor. Plumbing is protected against freezing.
The central control system
Vantana, just like other new models of Hobby, is equipped with a CI-BUS system. From the point of view of the manufacturer, it’s a central management system of the on-board devices. Nonetheless, on the users side is, above all, the control panel with LCD display.
A knob used in the panel, allows you to comfortably navigate the menu. The screen displays the date, internal and external temperature, the water level in the tank and the battery level. However, particularly important is that the panel can be integrated with other devices, such as heating, air conditioning and electric sunroof.
Besides, the communication with CI-Bus system can be done not only by the panel, but also via smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi (for an additional charge).
As befits a modern motorhome, Vantana is equipped with a USB output and powerful LED lighting system. The strips were placed, among others, above the upper cabinets. This small motorhome is also equipped with Blaupunkt navigation, developed with a view to tourist vehicles.
The motorhome, which is actually an extended van, has yet another interesting advantage. When lying on a double bed located on the back of the vehicle, you can open the rear double doors and in such comfortable position soak up the beautiful views of mountains, lakes or the sea. Partially you’re inside, but also a little on the outside...
