The vast majority of us, lovers caravanning, is accustomed to the classical approach of manufacturers to design the usable space of caravans. Knaus company, when presenting its uniaxial model, breaks with known patterns and goes in the direction of modern design - like the architects responsible for the design of lofts.
Single-axle chassis makes it easy to maneuver on the campsite with a caravan measuring more than 7.5 meters with a shaft (554 cm of the construction). From the outside you can immediately notice front compartment, integrated with the body that fits gas cylinders and travel accessories. On request, the hatch can be hidden under a stylish plastic cover – it also hides the components of overrun brake system. The rear part of the caravan is designed in accordance to the current trends in the automotive market - strongly marked LED lights were mounted into a huge bumper.
The interior for four travelers
It is widely known that when having a small living space it’s quite hard to provide a comfortable environment for a large number of users. Lifestyle model from Knaus is a proposal for families traveling with two children. To the delight of children, the manufacturer decided to use a bunk bed, thus saving a lot of space inside.
On the first sight, the unusual layout of the interior may not seem like a thought out idea, but this impression goes away after the first real contact with the caravan. The entrance was placed almost on the back, right next to the tightly encapsulated chemical toilet and a small sink. Capacious cabinets were suspended from the ceiling. Opposite there’s a space for aforementioned bunk beds fitted with an aluminum ladder, each of them has a separate curtain. The other two sleeping places emerge after unfolding the sofa located in the front of the caravan.
Equipment and functionality
On the right side of the entrance there’s a kitchenette (equipped with numerous cupboards, one-compartment sink and induction kitchen), what’s interesting - perpendicular to the walls. Thanks to this layout we get a functional island, and the the person preparing the meal perfectly sees the living area of the interior. Just behind the kitchen there’s a space for rectangular table - from the wall we have a comfortable bench for two people (behind the back you can find long windows), while on the other side - two stylish chairs. On the opposite side you will find huge closet, under which was placed - traditionally - the central heating system.
Living area is glazed, and the impression is intensified by raw interior design. Sofa can easily fit four people, who can also use a compact table - in a night configuration supporting one of the mattresses of the bed.
The caravan Lifestyle Knaus will surely meet high expectations of families with two children. Spacious cabinets, numerous lockers and family-oriented interior design are a proof of that. The price - 19,000 euros.
