One thing is sure from the very first sight. Laika Ecovip, with its distinctive, slightly protruded "beak", is a motorhome that will be difficult to confuse with any other vehicle.
Italian manufacturer has already reached 2015 in his thoughts and is preparing a new, fully integrated model of Ecovip (of course based on the Fiat Ducato) for the next season. According to the assumptions, Ecovip is distinguished by advanced technology and high-end design.
It has to be admitted that the latter aim has been achieved, particularly in relation to the front of the vehicle. Modern, a bit cheeky appearance will certainly appeal to those customers, who like to stand out in the crowd.
In assessing the appearance of the motorhome, it’s worth to pay attention on a large, panoramic windshield, which will provide an excellent visibility, as well as black (and thus „cutting off“ from the rest of the body) large mirrors, reminding those used in buses.
One of the most important features pointed out by the manufacturer is the floor, which was placed throughout the whole vehicle on one level. This means that we won’t find any stairs, for example, between the living room and sleeping area. The interior height in the entire car amounts 2.05 m.
The manufacturer declares that only high quality materials vere used (such as chrome-plated handles for furniture), as well as stain-resistant upholstery. In the kitchen we‘ll find soft closing drawers with closing function, two-chamber sink, and the kitchen itself is set in an ergonomic shape resembling the letter L. Tabletops (in the kitchen and living room) will be matt, scratch-resistant, easy to clean and supposedly "finger-resistant".
Beds are equipped in mattresses with removable covers – you can put them in the washing machine. Right next to the sleeping places are reading lights, as well as USB output. The motorhome is further equipped in extensive LED lighting system with adjustable light intensity. The lighting was also mounted above and below the upper cabinets, above the front door and just above the floor in the kitchen.
Large cabinets are made of high quality laminate, resistant to scratches. There‘s also a shoe cabinet and storage compartments in the floor. The manufacturer ensures that the lovers of winter sports, surfing and canoeing will find versions of Ecovip suited to their needs.
Also for the winter
So that the vehicle could be used throughout the year, its walls were insulated with polystyrene foam with high density, while the floor is heated and double insulated. The roof is made of glass fiber (GRP).
To provide the proper temperature, there‘ll be (optionally) heating Truma Combi C6 or Alde. Containers are going to be effectively protected against frost. Warm air blown out during heating will be evenly distributed throughout the motorhome.
The manufacturer boasts that gas cylinders and containers for water and wastewater will be installed in such a way that their replenishment shouldn’t cause any problems - for example, gas cylinders are placed low, while the containers were installed in the raised floor.
The new collection of Ecovip models includes 9 variants. The shortest of the models measure less than 6 meters. Five cars have a length in the range of 6-meters. Three longest models measure 7.5 meters. Prices in Germany start form 78,000 euro.
