Motorhome Carado T 132 - small, compact and functional
Carado is a manufacturer of caravans and motorhomes, whose main distinguishing feature is the price. A low price. Recently, among the low-budget camping vehicles there is a new, small model - Carado T 132.
It has to be cheap, but decent in terms of quality – those are the basic assumptions of the German brand Carado. Indeed, the price of less than 35,5 thousand euro for a new and equipped motorhome, ranks this new vehicle from Carado in the group of the cheapest touristic vehicles. The question is – what can we get for this price?
Maneuverability above all
The base here is Fiat Ducato with a 115 HP engine – so a vehicle, which is now a basis for most of the European motorhomes. Permissible gross weight of the vehicle with tourist bodywork is 3,495 kg.
Total length of T 132 is 598 cm, width - 232 cm, and the height - 291 cm. The manufacturer boast the maneuverability of the car, which is possible thanks to the short wheelbase and relatively modest length. The advantages of such a small size are also... lower costs of transporting it on a ferry.
Two closets and a garage
But let's face it - these advantages also have a flip side, in the form of a small amount of space inside. The manufacturer had to think hard so that the passengers didn’t feel the “compactness” of the car.
Even more may surprise the fact that in Corado there is a place for a garage, which can easily fit two bikes. The double bed is located over the baggage part, so to get under the duvet, you have to climb the ladder.
There are also two closets, spacious enough so it won’t be a problem to store even a few jackets and a few coats. The smaller cabinet is located under the bed, the larger – next to the doors.
The bathroom - inevitably - is tight, but it fitted all the necessary elements: a chemical toilet, shower tray, and even a sink and mirror.
In the kitchen area you will find a full set of basic equipment - 113-liter fridge, sink, gas stove and cabinets. In this respect, Carado T 132 could be compared with much bigger motorhomes.
The interior looks decently, though not impressive. The furniture are solid, in some places (for example, over the heads of the driver and passenger) there’s a place for open storages. Yet it is clear that in this case, the functionality (read: the use of every centimeter) is a matter much more important than a design.
Generally, Carado T 132 is a quite neat and solidly constructed motorhome, with an equipment known from larger camping vehicles. If the maneuverability is more important to you than space, this car was made just for you!
