It is widely known that on the European market manufacturers from Germany are the leaders in the production of motorhomes. Their offer fits tastes, needs and financial capabilities of a statistical European caravanning enthusiast. The cheapest models of motorhomes are in fact slightly modified buses, while a little bit more expensive proposals are based on ready chassis vehicles. However, according to some users, integrated motorhomes only provide for excellent rest.
Of course, the biggest drawback of this type of vehicle is the price – often exceeding half a million PLN. Niesmann+Bischoff company has some integrated motorhomes in their catalogues. We were mostly interested in the model Flair 920 LE offered for 2015.
Like all motorhomes with integrated design, also Flait 920 LE doesn’t look like a delivery car, on the basis of which it was built. German car manufacturers have used Iveco Daily as the basis for the entire structure. The appropriate level of available power is provided by the three-liter diesel engine with 205 HP. What's more, the power is transmitted to the wheels via an automatic transmission - increasing the comfort of driving.
Attention to detail and functionality
At first glance, we see the floor covered with the imitation of wood flooring, what’s interesting - even in the driver’s cab. The manufacturer, for the sake of driver’s convenience, took care of the selection of wide, adjustable seats, and an optional navigation and numerous compartments.
One of the biggest advantages is the functionality of the model, while a large number and the capacity of compartments will satisfy even the most demanding users. On the sides of the motorhome the manufacturer put a few sizable compartments that can fit in both the luggage and equipment, as well as water tanks (370 liters of clean water) and recreational accessories. In the rear of the vehicle there’s the biggest loading space – there you can pack few bikes, a scooter or even a small quad.
Interior for four
Once you get inside, you'll see the lounging area on the right side. Leather sofas (one of them is equipped with seat belts and head restraints) on both sides guarantee a place at the table for more than four people.
In the second part of the motorhome, just behind one of the sofas, we find a kitchenette. One-compartment sink, gas stove, numerous lockers and practical countertop create favorable conditions for cooking. Right next to it the manufacturer provided a place for chemical toilet - in front of it on a similar space he put a shower and a sink. What’s interesting – lounging area can be separated from the sleeping area with solid doors.
At the end of the motorhome that measures 9.27 m we’ll find a pretty big bed, to which we'll get by the stairs (the bed is elevated because of the "garage" below). As befits a mobile dwelling, Flair 920 LE has a lot of suspended ceiling cabinets. LCD TV was hanged next to a capacious fridge.
Motorhomes offering more than adequate living conditions always require considerable funds in your account. Niesmann+Bischoff Flair LE 920 on the German market cost 226,000 euros (gross price), providing users with air conditioning, heating, and an extensive audio system.
