This year Tabbert is celebrating its 60th birthday. It's a good moment to release a new model on the market. Name of the new caravan is P.E.A.T. which means "Private Edition Alfred Tabbert". That’s how the brand has decided to honor the memory of its founder.
Since the caravan was named after the first designer of the vehicles Tabbert, let’s not be surprised that the appearance of P.E.A.T. is more classical than other models.
Caravans from Tabbert have some very characteristic details – for example, distinctive tail lights with a coat of arms located between them, which also serves as a logo. On the other side of the caravan we will find a roomy storage for two gas cylinders.
Sizes and prices
In terms of prices P.E.A.T. ranks slightly above the cheapest model Da Vinci, whose prices start from 17.990 euro. For the new model of Tabbert you have to pay at least 21,690 euro (in Germany).
This model uses a thick (48 mm), well-insulated roof, which ensures tightness and muffles noise well. The walls, roof and floor are fixed with special screws, thus avoiding the use of connections that could leak the heat or cause some unpleasant ailments in the future, such as susceptibility to dampness. Tabbert caravans have a 6-year leak-proof warranty.
P.E.A.T. is available in different sizes - from 689 to 807 centimeters. Permissible gross weight ranges from 1.500 to 1.700 kg.
The caravan is available in four interior systems, including one with bunk bed. The part of the caravan with double or single beds is partially covered with furniture overlooking the living area. Thanks to this the bedroom has been slightly fenced off. The beds have foam mattresses.
In terms of fabrics, customers can choose between two upholstery patterns. They were named Alfredo (in honor of the founder of the brand) and Emma (in honor of his wife).
The interior combines traditional and modern elements, but generally has been decorated in accordance with current trends. The class of the vehicle can be recognized by the quality of materials and chrome handles. Among the distinctive elements of the caravan we can find two round analog clocks placed above the main door - one shows the time, the second pressure.
As befits a modern trailer, inside there’s a LED lighting. The standard also comes with a USB socket adapted for charging smartphones. 170-liter fridge has a removable, 20-liters freezer. Under the fridge you will find a special, 55-liter cold box for fruits and vegetables, with temperature maintained at the level of about 12 degrees Celsius.
Fresh water container isn’t too capacious – it can contain up to 45 liters. Depending on the length of the vehicle, there’s a heating system S3004 or S5004. The caravan has 5 sockets 230 V.
In addition to standard equipment, there are also additional packages, such as "60 years anniversary - Package" (includes the light installation with motion sensor) or 12V Supply Package (with charger and gel battery 80 Ah).
In summary, P.E.A.T. is a solid and modern caravan, which won’t bring any shame to the name of the brand, which today is a part of the very extensive Knaus Tabbert Group. The only thing that we would wish for, is a bit more extensive standard equipment, especially larger containers for water.
