A very broad topic: how to prepare a quick, not complicated meal while staying on the campsite? A real classic would be pasta and rice dishes, as well as immortal grilled meals. But if we go on such holidays few years in a row, such menu can become really boring. So today we would like to present some interesting proposals for quick, though not trivial meals. They're worth a try, even because they’ll work out even if we don’t know the exact proportion of ingredients.

15 minutes meals

One of the ideas are potato cutlets. You can firstly cook the potatoes and knead them into puree or use the ones left over from the previous meal. The mass prepared in this way, will serve as a base to which you can add just about anything. Crack raw eggs into it to get the right consistency, then add the cornstarch. Boiled, finely chopped eggs, or frozen sugar snap peas (of course, also cooked) may serve as a flavoring additives. You may intensify the taste with fried onions, mushrooms or peppers - in short, anything you want to add. After seasoning divide the mass into chunks (you can use a table spoon), roll it in breadcrumbs and fry until it’s golden brown. You can serve it with sour cream, sauce or salad. It’s an ideal, economical dish, because you can use the remnants of an earlier meal and get a cheap, tasty food.

Second idea is a variation on eggs and cheese. It can be prepared very quickly and surely looks better on the plate than fried or scrambled eggs. First we fry onions and scramble some eggs in a bowl (for a meal for two people use 3-4 eggs), season it with salt and pepper, add a handful of sprouts and grated cheese. Then we add the thyme and a few cherry tomatoes. Pour the mass into the pan and blend it a little bit, then reduce the heat and fry for about 3 minutes. The last step is to flip it on the other side - this may require to remove it from the pan for a while and add a bit of olive oil. After frying we put our meal on a plate and cut into tasty triangles. It can be served with a salad, and sprinkled with sprouts.

Men will probably like the last proposal the most, because it consists a lot of meat – and it's called peasant casserole. We need about 5 potatoes boiled with skins, eggs and cream, diced bacon, pork fat and sausages. We use pork fat to fry peeled and sliced ​​potatoes. When they have light golden color, add the sausage and bacon. Mix the egg with the cream and season with salt and pepper, then pour the whole into the pan. Fry it over low heat until the eggs are ready.
