Düsseldorf can be reached easily - German roads are really good, and the journey from the Polish border takes just a few hours.

What to see at the Caravan Salon?

International tourist industry event, Caravan Salon, is a real treat for tourists traveling around the world with motorhome and on foot. There’ll be booths with the latest models of motorhomes and caravans (with the necessary equipment, which is a guarantee of comfort: kitchens, toilets and bedrooms), with camping and fishing equipment and navigation accessories in order not to get lost along the way. This year's edition will be held from August 30th - September 07th. At the same time as the Caravan Salon fair is held Hiking Tourism and Trekking fair - something for those, who prefer own feet than four wheels. Admission to the fair is worth the money: the price of a one-day ticket is 14 euros for adults and 10 euros for students. Children aged between 6-12 years enter for 6 euros. Members of the Caravan Salon Club have a discount – they’ll pay for the ticket 10 euros. Tickets also entitle you to visit the exhibition Tour Natur and using a public transport and trains for free. Both events are a great way to spend the end of holidays, and on site there will be plenty of time not only to check what’s going on in the most modern caravanning this year, but also to explore the biggest attractions of Düsseldorf.

Düsseldorf - a mecca for avid travelers and international fashion

If you are in Düsseldorf you have to visit Altstadt located in the old town. This climatic street is called, not without reason, the longest bar in the world. You can taste real German beer brewed in North Rhine-Westphalia and the delights of German cuisine in one of over 260 local bars. For dinner, it’s worth to go to Madien Hafen, which was a river port in the past, and today houses the headquarters of more than 700 companies and international corporations in buildings designed by famous architects. The city skyline can be admired from the bank of the Rhine. If you dream of a more sophisticated entertainment you should go for a round of golf. The local golf courses are known throughout the world. Women will be literally delighted with the abundance of the boutiques - no wonder, because since the city holds The Gallery Düsseldorf two times a year, it also began to reach the level of the fashion capital. Plenty of attractions can also be found at the Royal Avenue (Königsallee), which has a reputation of one of the most beautiful boulevards in the world. There’re over 200 trees growing along the avenue. If you have motorhome and go with kids, you should definitely take them to Aquazoo and Neanderthal Museum.

Attractive camping places for the night

In the vicinity of Düsseldorf there’s no lack of campsites, where you can easily park even the largest motorhome or a car with a caravan. Highly recommended are two campsites open all year round: Camping Fuussekaul a very popular tourist destination, with an area of 18 ha.

Guests of Caravan Salon can also choose a comfortable localization in right at the Caravan Salon Camper Park.
