Ski Resort - Praded in Czech Republic
The cleanest air in Central Europe, snow from November to May and intriguing past. Czech ski resort Praděd attracts winter sports enthusiasts and adventure lovers.
In very remote past this area enjoyed a bad reputation of covens of witches. Today, its upper areas constitute a nature reserve, where you can move only along marked trails, while below in the winter season, skiing fans go wild on the slopes. It’s because here you can find some of the best snow conditions in Moravia. Besides, the area advertises itself as the place with the cleanest air in Central Europe, so we have guaranteed healthy holidays (regardless of whether its active or passive).
Moravian glacier – Praděd
This mysterious place is the highest mountain of Hrubý Jeseník, Moravia and Czech Silesia - the famous peak called Praděd (1492 m). Thanks to the television transmitter standing on the top, it’s the highest point in the whole Czech Republic. In the watchtower situated atop, we can not only eat a warming meal, but we'll also see Polish plains, Karkonosze and the High Tatras Mountains, if the weather will be favorable.
It has to be admitted that Praděd is known as one of the most misty mountains in Europe.
Snow covers the slopes until May, which makes it very popular among tourist. The cover is the thickest in the Sudety Mountains, and even though it wraps the slopes for a pretty long time, you won’t enjoy it after the 30th of April. The reason is very prosaic - the center is located in the National Park. The whole area is a part of it, so the functioning of the resort and its lifts are a subject to strict regulations on environmental protection.
In winter, ski and snowboard enthusiasts, cross-country skiers and mountain lovers just flock here from different countries. Outdoor activities adherents are tempted by excellent conditions for schussing on the slopes from November to April, while the rest of the tourists - by beautiful, breathtaking views.

Sjezdovka A is 850 meters away, and the level amounts nearly 200 meters.
