Lakes hidden amidst mountains, beautiful gorges and canyons, miles of beautiful beaches – those are the charms of Abruzzo. At the Adriatic coast, in the Abruzzo region of central Italy, there’s a popular beach resort - Roseto degli Abruzzi.

Nowadays, it’s pretty difficult to find a place quiet and peaceful enough to relax, where guest can also find all the conveniences necessary to rest in the true sense of the word. One of these amazing places is Roseto degli Abruzzi, an Italian town located in the eastern part of Italy. It’s a charming, small coastal place in the region of Abruzzo, located in close proximity to the cities of Ascoli and Teramo.

Roseto degli Abruzzi (more commonly Roseto), in the past was called a "place of roses", and today is one of the most popular resorts of the Abruzzo Coast. As a strictly tourist town, it was born in the early years of the nineteenth century, though it has existed since the Roman era.

Roseto degli Abruzzi - a place of roses

One of the biggest attractions of Roseto is beach, extending on many kilometers - perfect for relaxation and long romantic walks. The resort also tempts with beautiful architecture and the picturesqueness of the area. The region has focused many historic towns, such as lovely San Benedetto del Tronto, or Atri. The second one deserves a particular attention, due to the abundance of the monuments located there. The attention of tourists is mostly attracted by a dignified cathedral built in the Romanesque style. In turn, if we would like to admire the beauty of San Benedetto del Tronto, it’s possible after climbing on the observation tower Torrione - from a height of 15 meters extends a magnificent panorama of the entire city.

While in Roseto, it's worth to devote some time to a visit to the National Park of Abruzzo. It's a place where you can meet the famous Marsican brown bear, as well as lynx, wolf, badger and Apennine chamois. It extends in the southern part of the Abruzzo Apennines, and its territory includes the mountain ranges surrounding the upper part of the valley of the river Sangro. In the southern and western parts of the park there’re mountains Monti della Meta, while in the south-east - mountains Marsica. Enthusiasts of hiking between the peaks will be delighted with views of the beautiful lakes cuddled between mountain ranges and areas of Camosciara. The local landscape consists of ravines, slopes, and the whole area of the park and the surrounding ranges are made mostly of sedimentary rocks.

Under the Italian Sky

The area tempts with breathtaking beauty and it’s worth to stay here at least for a while. Finding an accommodation is extremely easy - for guests traveling with motorhomes, caravans and for tourists, who prefer to sleep in a tent is waiting Camping Village Eurcamping. It’s a large campsite offering many amenities, including a restaurant, bar and pizzeria, mini market, playground, volleyball, football and basketball field, as well as swimming pools with sun terrace. For the youngest guests there’s a large playground with lots of slides and swings.

It's a great place to relax, because it resembles a great garden full of oleanders, pines and palm trees. A nightly accommodation for two people, who intend to sleep in a tent, caravan or motorhome, costs from 16 to 26 euro, depending on the season. The price includes an access to a hot shower and electricity. More information about Eurcamping is available on our CampRest list of campsites.

Regardless of whether someone is going to laze around in the shade of palm trees, or actively explore the park and monuments, Abruzzo will be equally surprising. And Roseto degli Abruzzi will linger in our memory for a very long time.
